Christina Williams Designs

I had some special visitors not too long ago, but didn't have a chance to post pictures! My mom and grandma came to see me! We went to Sandra Bullock's restaurant called Bess Bistro, bought some Kendra Scott jewelry, hit Whole Foods, and got yummy coffee!
As you probably know by now -or if you are just now stumbling upon my blog and don't- I love making canvases for Christina Williams Designs! She is such a sweet, generous person, and her shop is ADORABLE. She just opened her own store, so everyone should go like her Facebook page for more info! Click HERE for the link.
This is her logo that I painted for her earlier this month.

Goodbye school, hello SUMMER

It feels so great to be home. I have barely been here 3 days and I have already been working on/finished around 7 canvases! Most of them are graduation gifts! For the time being, I'll show y'all what's been going on! OH, I almost forgot...IT'S SUMMER!!!!!!!!! :)

My mom and I stopped at Hopdoddy for lunch. It was the most delicious burger of my life, AND they make their own gluten free buns...I was in heaven. That's the best gluten free bread I have tasted yet! Oh right- mom wanted to see the Kendra Scott store, so we went! I got her some white Elle earrings, and she bought me a turquoise pair as a congratulations on finishing the school year!

REUNITED! We were so so so excited to watch SVU that we decided to rock the bun. I love these two so stinkin' much!

Here's a verse I did for Allyson, the sweet lady who is always the the front desk of Hardin. She has been so helpful all school year- through meningitis, gluten and lactose allergies, and supporting my little business. She always wants to see my stuff when I make new things! It makes me so happy.

This is a set of 3 12x12 canvases I did for my friend Emily. My room looked like Ke$ha stormed through it afterwards, but I was really happy with the way they turned out. To be honest, they look way better in person because it's hard to see the glitter on each individual canvas in the picture. Natural lighting makes them look great! Thanks so much Emily! I was more than happy to use these as a study break for finals.

50TH POST!!

50TH BLOG POST!

I seriously cannot believe I have posted 50 times on my blog! Since the last few weeks have been really busy, I need to catch my readers up on everything. I've been so busy lately with orders that I have barely posted on here! So much has happened!
  • I got an internship to be on a board at Melissa's Custom Gifts, a new greek store opening up on the drag in Austin. I have started a little work for my boss, but I haven't finalized it yet so I'll post pictures after I do.
  • Finals are coming up, so after that I will have so much more time to do my canvases! SUMMER IS SO CLOSE. It's going to be awesome!! Expect lots of posts about: camp, Hawaii, the Frio, the Guadalupe, Galveston, Louisiana (that's right, Payton...ROAD TRIP), and of course ATX!!
  • I have a big order coming back for the wonderful Christina Williams of Christina Williams Designs.  All of the pieces are Houston bound today! She is so SO sweet, and I love doing work for her!!
  • SPOILER ALERT: Lots of graduation gifts to come!
Here's some things I have been up to:

That one time where 184 people repinned my canvas..is this real life?

The blue and gold canvas is for my grandmother's best friend Jane. She has breast cancer and is such a wonderful, sweet friend to our family! We are all praying for her!! The Dr. Seuss is for Amy!
The pink one with the verse on it is actually my first A&M order!! Thanks AGS! The blue is for Hannah!

I got to have lunch with Chloe today!! She is the sweetest thing. Love you!
Some of my work for my new internship! And then just some crafting projects with my roomie Morgan...it's part of our ATX bucket list!
Audrey Hepburn quote for Hannah!
Theta Mom's Weekend! Love you momma!

Texas vs A&M baseball game! Such a pretty day!

THETA FORMAL! I love Janie! Best big ever.
 Future roomies!

Have a good week! Good luck on finals!

Kendra Scott

Last week my friend Meredith and I went to the Kendra Scott store on South Congress. It was special event, so it was packed. I didn' realize how popular Kendra Scott jewelry was until I came to Austin. Everyone has some! The Danielle earrings are her most popular; you've probably seen them on celebrities! Anyway, Kendra was actually upstairs the whole time we were there and came down to talk to all of her customers!! It was amazing. She is beautiful and incredibly kind! Meredith and I were dying for a picture with her (she is the one in the middle of the top photo.) If you haven't seen any of her jewelry, you should definitely check it out at http://www.kendrascott.com/ or on her blog.

Love y'all!

4000

Because I just reached 4,000 views, I thought I would share some pictures from this month. You guys probably get tired of just seeing canvases on here. I'm trying to post more about the stories behind each one, so that's something neat y'all (and I) can look forward to. If you have something I made for you, feel free to send me a picture of how it looks in your room, kitchen, wall, or home! I'll post it on here with a little shout out. Happy March!
Heart of Texas canvas I made for Micayla! I'll post a full view soon!
Towne Lake. Seriously the most beautiful place in the city.
And this taken on an iPhone...imagine how it really looks!
Happy Birthday to US!!! Micah, me, and Tripp!
Dad's weekend!
Kaya! My little sista came to visit! She is the sweetest.

My old team came to visit this past week. My coach use to play football here, so we got to have a tour of the facilities and the stadium! We even got to go on the field!

New look, new pages, new ideas!

Happy Sunday, everybody! So I was thinking this morning when I woke up that I should start making more paintings with quotes that I like and show y'all by posting them on here and even make a page for all the ones I make that don't have a home..haha. My roomie Morgan and I are going to the craft store tonight, so be on the lookout for some really cute things coming soon! We have some crayon art, ADPi sorority decor, and some fancy initials! It's going to be chaos when we walk into that place!

Also, I just added the comment box on the left side of the page. That way you can message me directly off of my blog! Don't be shy, I love getting emails and comments!

Ps. Check out the new "College" and "Quotes" pages at the top of the screen. I put up a few ideas for University of Texas on the college page, but if you want your school on there, let me know. Hook 'em!

FIRST POST!

Hey y'all! I'm officially in the blogging world...took me long enough. College may be kicking my rear, but in my spare time, I have finally started my crafting business. My initials are BK, so I thought I would be "punny" and call it "b.krafty".  I think people have been asking me to make them signs, help them with projects or gifts, and paint them pictures since I was about 11 years old, so I'm really excited about this!

Austin is the best possible place for creative inspiration. I couldn't have asked for a better fit. I mean...granted, it is a very "weird" place, but that's what I love about it. Everything is so original and COLORFUL! I'm in love.

^For my YL small group leader's wedding! (I'm not completely finished, but she's awesome so it's going to be good!)
Anyway! I posted a few of my pieces that I've made so far.  Mostly everything I make is under $10 to purchase from me, so shoot me an email at bethanyk1993@aim.com if you want to contact me. I absolutely loove them, but I want to hear your feedback! Thanks to anyone who is reading this...y'all are too great.
