Thankful

Happy Sunday Everyone!

I posted this on my Instagram account this week, but I know I need to share it on my blog as well. Two canvases of mine have been featured this week on the popular page of Pinterest and Daily Bible Verse on Instagram, both with Deuteronomy 31:6, "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them. For the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you or forsake you." I love this verse because it gives me strength to draw out any fear by having faith in God. It is a reminder that He is with you in all that you do. I think I am going to work on painting some more versions of Deuteronomy 31:6 since these two were so popular. Who knows, maybe I will have a giveaway soon! Any thoughts? XO

Prom Crashers

So my best friend Erika and I decided that we would surprise our "bebes" as we call them for their prom! We both came home that weekend and surprised them while they were taking their pictures! They all looked so pretty! We were both debating on whether or not we were just going to put on a sparkly dress and crash the prom, too...but we decided (reluctantly) against it.

the prom crashers (well...prom pictures anyway)

Katie, Rocky, and Kaya were so surprised! We took like 500 pictures for them, like we were worse than the parents. Their dresses were so beautiful!

just a little something I thought went with the post!

just me and my bestie!

Clear eyes. Full hearts.

Before I start, I'm doing this on my phone so the pictures won't be up until I get back to my laptop! Alright, it's no surprise that I am in love with my state. I just can't help it. I mean, Texas is a really awesome place to be! Luckily I'm not alone in this, and I got some orders from some of my fellow proud Texans.

If you've never seen the show (or even the movie) Friday Night Lights, you're missing out. Whether you're into football or not, although after this show you will love football..trust me, you need to watch it. I promise you that you will fall in love with Coach Taylor, his awesome wife Tammy, the stories and relationships, and last but DEFINITELY not least, Tim Riggins. His famous line "Texas Forever" has inspired probably like thousands of hashtags, facebook albums, and tshirts...and it also inspired this canvas!

Before school started my dad surprised me and took my to the Dillon Panther field house. It's right outside of Austin! I almost passed out when I realized where we were. Anyway, here's a picture of the field house! I wanted to go on the field but the gate was locked and they had barbed wire around the face so I decided I better not test my luck. Hope y'all enjoy the pictures! Clear eyes. Full hearts. Can't lose.

Follow me on Pinterest!

You can now follow me on Pinterest directly from my blog! Click on the Pinterest logo in the right column and start pinning! I have a board called "bkrafty" that most of my canvases are on.

Just recently a Pinterest page called "Sorority Please" started pinning my canvases onto their craft board , and then there were hundred of repins! Then I got a notification that Ole Miss Panhellenic repinned a canvas, too. I couldn't believe it. How cool is that?! So many of my canvases were pinned from my blog and from my ETSY page as well. The most popular one was the pink Audrey Hepburn quote! Have you seen my canvases anywhere else on Pinterest? Let me know so I can thank the people for pinning them!

Disney Princess Half Marathon

This past weekend my mom and I ran the Disney Princess Half Marathon at Walt Disney World in Florida! It. Was. Awesome. My family had no idea that my mom was going to run the race with me, so it was our little secret until we finished!

The race starts in Epcot and you run through Magic Kingdom and back to Epcot for the big finish! I don't think I could've found a better place to run a half marathon- especially for my first one!
my mom set out a little devotional for my the night before our race! it was so cute
walking to the starting line!

One of the best parts about the trip was in the race itself. My mom made a devotional for us the night before the race, and she explained that she thought it would be special if we dedicated each mile to someone..and the surprise was that she had asked a few of my friends and family to write me letters. The verse that my best friend Erika wrote in her letter was Philippians 4:13: "I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength." I wrote it on my hand and looked at it during the race as a reminder!

we finished!
The race itself was easier than I thought it would be when I first started training, but I think that's because my mom and I ran together the whole way. It was her first time in Disney, so it was awesome getting to show her the place I love so much! She understood why I want to work with the company one day. I sure hope that dream comes true! I could write five hundred more posts about our trip, but I need to get some sleep!

Happy Birthday Mamaw!

This is a little (2 days!) belated post dedicated to my sweet grandmother!
happy birthday to my sweet mamaw

She is probably my number one viewer on my blog, and she is so supportive of everything I do! She is quite the artist herself, so I know where I got my creativity from. Thank you, Mamaw! I hope you birthday was twice as sweet as you are! xoxo

Business Cards!

My brother is AWESOME, and he got me business cards for Christmas! I got to help out a little with the designs, but they were made by Unleaded Communications in Houston. I am absolutely obsessed with them, and I gave my first one out yesterday to my roommate Payton! It feels so cool having them; it makes me feel excited about the possibilities ahead. Wanna take a look at their masterpiece? Here it is!

Speaking of things ahead, I am donating some canvases to a philanthropy event at Grand Valley State University. It's a fundraiser for the Gilda's Club in Grand Rapids, MI! A Phi Sigma Sigma member named Rosemary sent me the SWEETEST message, and I can't wait to send some canvases her way to support the event! Grand Valley State has 8 sororities, so I am going to try to make one for each! They are:
Phi Sigma Sigma

Sigma Kappa

Alpha Omnicron Pi
Alpha Sigma Alpha

Alpha Sigma Tau
Delta Zeta
Gamma Phi Beta
Phi Mu

Look back soon for more pictures, but I have a lot to catch y'all up on!

XOXO

Be strong and courageous

Hey everyone! I hope your week went smoothly. Mine is definitely a lot better now that I finished all of my tests and projects.  Even though it was pretty rough, I had some pretty neat things happened! After my sport management test on Monday my professor told me after reading my resume (we had to turn in our resumes for an assignment), she was so intrigued with my blog that she looked it up! We talked a little about the possibilities I have with my bkrafty business! It was so so awesome. She was so encouraging. It honestly made my day! Thank you, Dr. Sparvero! It really reminded me to keep my head up and embrace the possibilities I have with my business in the future.

This canvas in particular has a great message! This verse is a great reminder that God will be with you in every one of your battles. I painted it for my friend Rona, who is a new Theta this year! Thank you so much!
Have a great weekend y'all!
