Mother's Day

I thought I would share some of my favorite canvases and verses that my mom loves. She is always my number one fan, and I am grateful for all of her love and support.

Deuteronomy 31:6 - "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."

Philippians 4:13 -  "I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength." This is a big one for us. When my mom and I run together, we remind each other of this verse.

One of the Christmas orders I received was doing four different canvases with Proverbs 31:25 on them! I love getting to paint Bible verses because it gives me the opportunity to explore the verse and really try to bring the beauty of the Word to the canvas. Here's a look at what I made:

I posted this on my Instagram account this week, but I know I need to share it on my blog as well. Two canvases of mine have been featured this week on the popular page of Pinterest and Daily Bible Verse on Instagram, both with Deuteronomy 31:6, "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them. For the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you or forsake you." I love this verse because it gives me strength to draw out any fear by having faith in God. It is a reminder that He is with you in all that you do. I think I am going to work on painting some more versions of Deuteronomy 31:6 since these two were so popular. Who knows, maybe I will have a giveaway soon! Any thoughts? XO

Hi everyone! I know I have been MIA on the blog lately, but the reason for this is because I got very sick this month and ended up having to go to the hospital during Recruitment. It was definitely a rough time, and after a lot of bed rest I am finally back on my feet, though I am still not 100%. My family and I both agree that I need to focus on getting better and tackling the first few weeks of school before diving back into my painting, so my Etsy shop is currently on vacation and no custom orders will be taken at this time. 

That being said, I think the verse I painted on this canvas earlier in the month is perfect inspiration for me. I painted it for a lovely girl named Erin, who ordered it for her roommate. Though sometimes life may throw you a curveball, God gives us his love and strength so that we can confidently stride past those times of adversity into the future. Thank you, Erin, for requesting this verse! It truly touched my heart.

A little bit of Lilly

Hey everyone! So I was asked to make another canvas with the Delta Zeta Lilly Pulitzer pattern recently, and I was also asked to do another Lilly rose pattern. The Delta Zeta Lilly canvas I did last year is actually one of my most popular blog posts. If you haven't seen it before, you can see it by clicking the Lilly Love Post link.

 This pattern is one of the most beautiful Lilly Pulitzer sorority patterns. I think the roses are just lovely, and even though I am not the biggest fan of pink, I think the different shades are beautiful. The bright colors really pop against one another.

 For this canvas, the custom order request was to include the Bible verse Matthew 5:16: "Let your light shine before others, that they may see your goof deeds and praise your Father in Heaven."

How Great Thou Art

Happy Sunday, y'all! So today I'm sharing one of my latest canvases I did for Kathryn, another girl at UT! She ordered it from me for Mothers Day, and I thought that was so sweet. I don't think it's a secret that I LOVE this print, and I am always down to paint it. After I posted it on my Instagram account, one of my good friends from high school texted me saying that she made the picture the background on her phone. I was so honored! That sounds a little cheesy, but it really did make me smile (thank you Veronica!)

This weekend I went to see my friend Kaitlin, and her mom was so excited to learn about my painting hobby. Kaitlin has a dresser that she wants painted in a fun, colorful design, so I'm going to paint it for her! Watch out y'all. New product line coming through. Seriously though, I am going to have WAY too much fun with this.

Prom Crashers

 So my best friend Erika and I decided that we would surprise our "bebes" as we call them for their prom! We both came home that weekend and surprised them while they were taking their pictures! They all looked so pretty! We were both debating on whether or not we were just going to put on a sparkly dress and crash the prom, too...but we decided (reluctantly) against it.

Katie, Rocky, and Kaya were so surprised! We took like 500 pictures for them, like we were worse than the parents. Their dresses were so beautiful!

Proverbs 4:23

Hi out there to all of my readers! It's almost 7 am here, but no sunrise, yet! I guess it's safe to say that school has officially started. Though it seems like no one is really ready for it, it's here! I was asked to make this canvas for someone from Houston, and I absolutely love the verse she picked out. I know I pretty much love everything people ask me to do, but I love this one times three! I'll let you take a look at my canvas interpretation of the Bible verse Proverbs 4:23!

Though I had heard this verse many times before, I had never really gone in depth about it. I don't think I every really studied it, neither with a group nor on my own time. Because I liked it so much, I wanted to look up a few things about it. I found an article that says the "3 Reasons Why You Should Guard Your Heart" by Michael Hyatt. It was really good! It's a good read! Anyway- I seriously do LOVE this canvas, too. I told Nia that I want to keep both of the ones I made her! Can't wait for her to get them!
