Link Up for Liam

During September, I donated two canvases to a dinner/auction that a community put on in honor of Liam. Liam Webb is a carefree and happy 3 year old boy. Liam's parents, Christian and Carli, were given the news on April 11, 2013 that their little boy was suffering from a malignant brain tumor. A member of the Webb family's community reached out to me and asked me if I would donate any canvases for the auction. There is a Facebook page where you can receive updates on this little fighter, and I believe you can make a donation through the page as well. Here's the link to the Facebook page:

I sure hope whoever bought these canvases loves them! I was asked to do an A&M and UT one, and I was honored to be asked to donate. What an incredible community for coming together to support each other.

Texas bound!

university of texas themed canvases
Happy Tuesday, everyone! I know graduation season is pretty much coming to an end, but I still would love to share these Texas inspired canvases I painted last week. One of my wonderful friends named John showed his mom my blog, and she asked me to paint these two canvases for her niece and a friend. The two canvases both have a little longhorn that I freehanded in the left corner. I've been working on that for a while, so I'm pretty proud of it! Let's get a closer look at each canvas:
soccer ball pattern with a little burnt orange accent
For Cara, I painted a soccer ball pattern because she will be playing soccer at UT next year! ! I really liked the concept, and I thought the burnt orange ("Persimmon" by Americana) detailing brought a fun element to the design.

burnt orange and white chevron
Chevron has officially taken over as my most requested pattern! It has been neck and neck for a while, but I think chevron edged it out this week. For Caroline's canvas,  I did a fun chevron pattern with her name in a dainty script font- complete with another freehanded longhorn, of course!

I hope you girls love your canvases! Thank you Mrs. Curtiss (and John and Emily, too!) Congratulations, and Hook 'Em!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to the best dad ever! Even though I chose the "evil empire" over his Texas Tech Red Raiders, he still loves me. However, he is yet to wear burnt orange. Have a great Father's Day, dad!

Mom's Weekend

Hey y'all!
This past weekend was our Moms Weekend for Theta, so my mom come up to see me! She is literally an angel, and I am so glad I got to spend the weekend with her. She was feeling really sick, but she still wanted to go to every event we had. It was so much fun! We went to some fun restaurants downtown, including Sandra Bullock's BESS Bistro and the amaaazing Hopdoddy Burger Bar on South Congress.

Back to School Festivities

Rush is finally over and classes have officially started at UT...yay school! In honor of school kicking off and summer ending (tear) I'll post some of the TEXAS canvases (finally)!!! It kinda funny because some of the canvases I made were for girls going through rush, and I ended up meeting a few of them! Some even ended up being Thetas, YAY!  Hope you like the pictures, I put some from rush up, too.

Ps. If you're looking to give a gift to someone who just went though rush, you should check out Melissa's Custom Gifts on the Drag (Guadalupe) right across from Dobie Mall. There is free validated parking if you park there!! If you have a Facebook, go like the page! They are doing a Jon Hart giveaway, so don't miss out.

B KRAFTY HAS HIT 10,000 VIEWS!

I am so so so excited to be able to post about the new marker in my blog's little lifetime. I haven't had a chance to post anything for a while because I have been away at camp, but when I got on today to check my blog's stats, it had hit over 10,000 views!! What a surprise. This summer has been so amazing. I couldn't ask for better friends and family! They have all been so supportive of my little business and encouraged me to keep painting and posting about it. So many friends have asked me for orders of graduation gifts, so here they are!

Graduation Time!

This month has been jam-packed with graduation gifts, and I am loving it. It's been a lot of hard work, but it is also really exciting to make canvases with themes for different universities all over! A sweet girl from my old high school ordered about 15 canvases for her friends as graduation gifts, and they turned out pretty nicely if I do say so myself!! There are some Texas flags, the state of Texas, monograms, chevron prints, and just simple canvases with their names on them. I put them on my Facebook page, but I haven't uploaded any on my blog, yet. I hope y'all love them!!

The eyes of Texas are upon you!/bkrafty hits 5,000 views!!

Hey everybody! WOW, I can't believe I have over 5000 views. My boyfriend texted me the other morning to tell me, and I almost thought he was lying. It's crazy to think that this school year is almost over, and my blog and business have grown so much! Thank you to everyone who is reading, sharing, and ordering! Y'all are the best!! This week I have a treat for all you Texas Longhorns out there. I had an order of graduation presents for some girls who are attending UT next fall.  The  only specific details were to make them all different, but to have their names and  beautiful burnt orange!

Thanks y'all! HOOK 'Em!
