New Prints!

One of my New Years Resolutions for 2014 was to start making prints. I'm still learning more tips and tricks everyday, and I have been working hard to get these babies out there. I have put them all up on my Etsy shop, and hopefully there will be even more soon! My next goal is to go to one of those awesome classes at Paper Source and create my own cards. When I visited the one in Highland Village in Houston, one of the employees showed me a few things that had to do with glitter and some kind of magical heat infusion thing that blew me away so I HAVE to learn more! But as promised, here are my new prints! Go like these bad boys on Etsy, they are one of a kind.

Cabin Gifts

Some of you may have seen the canvases I painted last month, they were ordered as gifts for Shawnee War Canoe at Heart o the Hills Camp for Girls, the camp I have spent 10 summers of my life attending. I have posted about it a few times and cannot say enough good things! For Second Term, I had an order of cabin gifts come in from the cutest mom ever, and here they are:

This little Minnie Mouse is one of the campers who is received a canvas from Bkrafty as a cabin gift! So cute!


The reason the colors on the canvas are green blue and red is because Heart o the Hills has two tribes, the Pawnees and the Shawnees. The Pawnees are blue, and the Shawnees are green! After you're a camper, you belong to the "Heart Tribe" and which is red. Here's an old picture from my last year at camp, it shows all the colors together in the chieftain outfits. This picture was actually some of my inspiration for the canvases:

This one is with the Pawnee Chieftain from last summer, Sherilyn! One of my best best friends in the world, Christina, and I were here tribe sponsors last summer. She is awesome, and I love her tons! Also, how could I not post this? The photobombing is just too good.

The old chieftains always take a photo with the newest chieftain, so we had a ton of fun with that! Everybody wears a piece of the chieftain outfit, which is one of the coolest things. I love that tradition!

Proverbs 4:23

Hi out there to all of my readers! It's almost 7 am here, but no sunrise, yet! I guess it's safe to say that school has officially started. Though it seems like no one is really ready for it, it's here! I was asked to make this canvas for someone from Houston, and I absolutely love the verse she picked out. I know I pretty much love everything people ask me to do, but I love this one times three! I'll let you take a look at my canvas interpretation of the Bible verse Proverbs 4:23!

Though I had heard this verse many times before, I had never really gone in depth about it. I don't think I every really studied it, neither with a group nor on my own time. Because I liked it so much, I wanted to look up a few things about it. I found an article that says the "3 Reasons Why You Should Guard Your Heart" by Michael Hyatt. It was really good! It's a good read! Anyway- I seriously do LOVE this canvas, too. I told Nia that I want to keep both of the ones I made her! Can't wait for her to get them!
