College Bound Canvases & Boots

Happy Hump Day, blogging world!

The orders have been coming in by the numbers, and I am so grateful. Summer is my favorite season for paintings and such because it is the time when I receive a surplus of orders for college bound individuals. This gives me a chance to learn more about other schools' traditions and even learn about new colleges that I never researched when I was applying. Last year I am pretty sure Arkansas took the cake for most orders, so I am looking forward to seeing who comes out on top this summer. So far, we have a tie for first!

LSU canvas for Kristen, and a soccer pattern for Sarah, who is going to school to play soccer. How exciting!

University of Oklahoma chevron canvas for these two roomies, Paige and Rachael.

These upcycled, refurbished books were custom painted with the colors of Cornell University. Because these babies were my first Cornell piece, I'm going to do a follow up post on them. How fun of an idea is that though? Turning an old pair of boots into your gameday boots? Yes, just yes.

That's all for now, but keep checking the blog and Instagram for new canvases and giveaways!

Hot Prints for Summer

Listen up, y'all! To kick off the sizzlin' summer, all prints in my Etsy shop are now only $10 - get 'em while their HOT. Haven't seen the prints, yet? Let's take a look at some of them, shall we?

So far this summer, I have been able to go to on a few adventures already. I wanted to channel that adventurous spirit and tap into that creative zone that traveling gives me, so I created a few new prints inspired by my summer so far. I used a lot of bright, warm colors that reminded me of this magnificent West Texas sunset my friends and I experienced on our road trip; seriously it was so stunning that we had to stop and pull over to take in its beauty.

Many of my close friends are studying abroad, on mission trips, or off to new cities for the summer to work or travel, and it has inspired me to look into the happiness that comes with new adventures. I've made it my personal mission to embark on some adventures of my own this summer, and with that, some goals as well (one of which was to start posting more again on the blog.) So this is my first showing of the new things I have been working on. I hope y'all enjoy! I want to remake this blog into something a little different, so that might just have to happen, too. In the meantine, if you want to keep up with what Bkrafty Designs is doing behind the scenes, the best way to follow is through my Instagram account.

I have recently been going through my old quote book and highlighting which ones I wanted to make into prints. Here's my favorite out of the bunch so far:

A highlight of my summer (yes already) is the fact that my friends Kaitlin, Leslie, and I happened to snag BEYONCE AND JAY Z tickets. In the spirit of Queen Bey, and the biggest #powercouple we have ever seen, I made this *flawless* print.

In case this is your first time on my blog or if you haven't seen any of my prints before, here are a few of the ones for sale in my Etsy shop. They are black and white, but you can request colors as well. Happy shopping!

I will be adding new prints throughout the week - so keep checking in on my shop and blog to stay in the loop. Have a quote you you want but don't see? Send me and email or comment below!

College Canvases

Hey everyone! I have some pretty cool canvases to share with you today! These were painted for some of my awesome friends!

 First up...Stanford:

The Stanford canvas was painted for my friend Jason! We met because we at the Coca Cola Scholars weekend in 2011. We were in the same group and became friends instantly! He is an amazing photographer, and he has sent me two of his favorite pictures, so I thought it was time for me to paint something for him!

 Next: Georgia Tech

This canvas was painted for my best friend from camp, Christina! She runs track at Georgia Tech, and her mom thought it would be cool for me to paint something for her to hang in her dorm room! Well, Christina LOVED it, and so did her roomies! I ended up made 3 more for their Christmas presents!

matching canvases for these Georgia Tech roomies!
 Last but not least: A&M

I think I've already posted this one, but I love the colors and the different fonts! A&M has lots of traditions that make it special, so it's fun to incorporate them into a canvas!

Gig 'em

Last week I delivered my first A&M cooler! I also got to send an A&M themed canvas to Amanda for a gift! There was a whole lot of maroon going on around here. It was really fun to decorate those two items! Let's take a look at what I created this time:

Hope y'all like them!

Keep Calm and Diamond On

As Thanksgiving break approaches I am really getting excited about some of the things I have in store! I am going to be painting some coolers for the lovely ladies my mom works with and a friend from high school! So far I think I have an A&M themed cooler, a Saints one, a Texans one, and a family themed one! I can't wait to get started on those!! They are SO much fun to do. I am also going to be painting a few canvases! This is one I did a few weeks ago, but I can't remember if I posted it or not! I love all of the Keep Calm signs. This one is for Alpha Delta Pi!

More posts soon. Homeward bound tomorrow! Can't wait to be with the fam.
Have a great Thanksgiving everyone, and look out for some exciting posts soon!

The Eyes of Texas are upon yOU..

So last week was simply WILD. We initially had our big/little paddles due for Theta on Thursday, so everyone was stressing about getting them done and making them look perfect! Luckily our new member director changed the due date for that to this Thursday!! (I'll upload my paddle I made for Grace as soon as the sees it!) The big thing for underclassmen do for Texas/OU weekend -especially freshmen- is cooler painting. I think I might have slept for 8 hours total last week slaving over these babies, but here is what all that hard work amounted to!

The OU game is our biggest event of the football season, and the boys ask dates to go with them. It's really a fun experience because you have the game AND the state fair! Since we didn't exactly do too well in the game, most of us went to the fair. It was AWESOME! Everything was packed, and I ran into literally so many people that there was no way it couldn't be fun.

^ My honorary little sisters Chloe and Paige! They are the sweetest girls I know. We went on some rides together at the fair!
^One of my favorite people in Theta!! I'm going to miss her next year!!
