A little bit of Lilly

Hey everyone! So I was asked to make another canvas with the Delta Zeta Lilly Pulitzer pattern recently, and I was also asked to do another Lilly rose pattern. The Delta Zeta Lilly canvas I did last year is actually one of my most popular blog posts. If you haven't seen it before, you can see it by clicking the Lilly Love Post link.

This pattern is one of the most beautiful Lilly Pulitzer sorority patterns. I think the roses are just lovely, and even though I am not the biggest fan of pink, I think the different shades are beautiful. The bright colors really pop against one another.

For this canvas, the custom order request was to include the Bible verse Matthew 5:16: "Let your light shine before others, that they may see your goof deeds and praise your Father in Heaven."

Thank you for reading! I finished a huge order of 22 canvases last week, so I look forward to posting more about that soon. Remember, if you see a canvas you like, feel free to comment or email me. If you're interested in ordering a canvas, email me, and we can discuss designs!

Follow me on Pinterest!

You can now follow me on Pinterest directly from my blog! Click on the Pinterest logo in the right column and start pinning! I have a board called "bkrafty" that most of my canvases are on.

Just recently a Pinterest page called "Sorority Please" started pinning my canvases onto their craft board , and then there were hundred of repins! Then I got a notification that Ole Miss Panhellenic repinned a canvas, too. I couldn't believe it. How cool is that?! So many of my canvases were pinned from my blog and from my ETSY page as well. The most popular one was the pink Audrey Hepburn quote! Have you seen my canvases anywhere else on Pinterest? Let me know so I can thank the people for pinning them!

Tulane Theta

Hey y'all! So this canvas was the first order I have gotten from a Theta that isn't from Texas! It's for my friend Emma, and she is a Theta at Tulane. I actually went to high school with her, so I was so happy to get to paint this canvas for her (it was a gift for her little!!) We brainstormed a little bit with different ideas because she said she'd already done something with the Lilly Theta print for one gift, but she still wanted to incorporate Theta into this canvas!

**Okay COOLEST thing ever. Emma literally just texted me telling me thank you and that Sue-Claire loved the canvas! That is so awesome and crazy that I just so happened to be blogging about it right this minute.

So to put a little bit of Tulane and Theta into the canvas, I painted the canvas Tulane colors! My favorite part was the chevron. You can't tell in one of the pictures, but the chevron also SPARKLES. My favorite. Definitely. It was gorgeous when the light hit it! I wrote Kappa Alpha Theta underneath her little's name to incorporate Theta, too. XOXO TLAM

Business Cards!

My brother is AWESOME, and he got me business cards for Christmas! I got to help out a little with the designs, but they were made by Unleaded Communications in Houston. I am absolutely obsessed with them, and I gave my first one out yesterday to my roommate Payton! It feels so cool having them; it makes me feel excited about the possibilities ahead. Wanna take a look at their masterpiece? Here it is!

Speaking of things ahead, I am donating some canvases to a philanthropy event at Grand Valley State University. It's a fundraiser for the Gilda's Club in Grand Rapids, MI! A Phi Sigma Sigma member named Rosemary sent me the SWEETEST message, and I can't wait to send some canvases her way to support the event! Grand Valley State has 8 sororities, so I am going to try to make one for each! They are:
Phi Sigma Sigma

Sigma Kappa

Alpha Omnicron Pi
Alpha Sigma Alpha

Alpha Sigma Tau
Delta Zeta
Gamma Phi Beta
Phi Mu

Look back soon for more pictures, but I have a lot to catch y'all up on!

XOXO

Texas Zeta Initiation

A few weeks ago was Zeta Initiation! Two of my friends asked me to paint their crowns for their littles. It was so much fun! I love their colors, and I was so excited to help them out!

I had painted this canvas for Rachel (for her little) earlier this semester, so she wanted her little's crown to have the same sort of theme on it.

I literally love these colors together so much that I wanted to keep this one! Thank you Rachel!!
I did both of the crowns above and the bulletin board!
Hope y'all like the stuff! Thank you Rachel and Caroline for giving me the opportunity to paint for y'all!

Theta LOVE!

This post is specifically dedicated to one of my roomies: MEGAN!
birthday girl!

Today is her birthday, and I am SO sad I am not with her! She is a Theta with me, and I bought her lots of Theta goodies from my favorite greek store Melissa's Custom Gifts on the Drag. It's such a cute place!! I also decided to paint this canvas for our apartment:

a funky paisley theta canvas for my apartment
All of the apartment is back home for Thanksgiving, and she is on her way back to her native homeland in Alaska. Okay, Minnesota. We joke that she should just say she is from Canada because no one here actually knows where Minnesota is whenever she tells them that's where she is from. Anyway! We kicked off her birthday weekend with SAE jungle! Then on Saturday I got her some Austin Cake Balls -pumpkin flavored was a must for Megan- from A Christmas Affair. Then Saturday David came up to ATX (YAY!) and we all hung out together! Have an awesome birthday Megan!!

Ps. I made her a few presents for birthday weekend! One was a baby blue monogrammed canvas.

Have a great Thanksgiving everyone!

Keep Calm and Diamond On

As Thanksgiving break approaches I am really getting excited about some of the things I have in store! I am going to be painting some coolers for the lovely ladies my mom works with and a friend from high school! So far I think I have an A&M themed cooler, a Saints one, a Texans one, and a family themed one! I can't wait to get started on those!! They are SO much fun to do. I am also going to be painting a few canvases! This is one I did a few weeks ago, but I can't remember if I posted it or not! I love all of the Keep Calm signs. This one is for Alpha Delta Pi!

More posts soon. Homeward bound tomorrow! Can't wait to be with the fam.
Have a great Thanksgiving everyone, and look out for some exciting posts soon!

The Eyes of Texas are upon yOU..

So last week was simply WILD. We initially had our big/little paddles due for Theta on Thursday, so everyone was stressing about getting them done and making them look perfect! Luckily our new member director changed the due date for that to this Thursday!! (I'll upload my paddle I made for Grace as soon as the sees it!) The big thing for underclassmen do for Texas/OU weekend -especially freshmen- is cooler painting. I think I might have slept for 8 hours total last week slaving over these babies, but here is what all that hard work amounted to!

The OU game is our biggest event of the football season, and the boys ask dates to go with them. It's really a fun experience because you have the game AND the state fair! Since we didn't exactly do too well in the game, most of us went to the fair. It was AWESOME! Everything was packed, and I ran into literally so many people that there was no way it couldn't be fun.

^ My honorary little sisters Chloe and Paige! They are the sweetest girls I know. We went on some rides together at the fair!
^One of my favorite people in Theta!! I'm going to miss her next year!!

Hook 'em.
